On the Beamer Trail it's the combination of heat and talus that starts to overwhelm your feet. These stay-cool and breathable socks provide ventilation while still padding your heels and toes from uneven terrain. They feature a lightweight, looped merino wool construction on the footbed and shin for cushioning and to disperse excess warmth. The welt is snug to reduce slipping; an arch band adds support. Our Looped Lintoe construction creates an ultra-flat, toe-friendly seam. A combination of fibers improves moisture control and airflow: 62% chlorine-free merino wool/23% nylon/12% polyester/3% spandex. Height is 9.5".   Chlorine-free Wool
  Raw, untreated wool has scales that make it itchy and coarse and cause it to shrink, so most wool fabrics are treated with chlorine to reduce the scales. Our 100% merino wool is so fine it can be slow-washed without chlorine for softness and minimal shrinkage.
