What can be said about Mountain Hardwears Summit Rocket 30 backpack? Well, its an ultralight climbing pack for speed ascents on the biggest, baddest peaks! The materials combine with a versatile design to create a high-performance pack for the expedition alpinist pushing the limits.

Created in cooperation with alpinist Ueli Steck, The summit rocket is a climbing tool as well as a carrying container. Available in the 30-liter version, it has a narrow profile and is shaped to minimize interference with climbing movements. It is a lightweight pack created with 100-denier ripstop nylon & Dyneema. For reduced weight, all nonintegral components are removable including: frame sheet, portion of foam back panel which doubles as sleeping pad, hip belt (already minimal) can be removed or replaced by a more robust hip belt, all compression straps are removable and can be put in different ways.
